Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting, preferably working with diverse student populations
- Strong ability to assess students and develop personalized therapy plans
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with school staff, parents, and caregivers
- Organizational skills to manage multiple cases and documentation efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals related to occupational therapy
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teaching staff, support personnel, and families to ensure consistency of support
- Offer training and resources to teachers and aides to reinforce therapy goals within the classroom setting
- Stay current with best practices and compliance standards for school-based therapy
