Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in school or healthcare settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and school-based therapy practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet individual student needs and educational goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs and school objectives
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine therapy needs and appropriate interventions
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to support students’ academic success and independence
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Offer consultative support and resources to classroom teachers for classroom-based strategies
- Assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic activities and modifications to the learning environment
