Make a meaningful difference supporting students across K-12th grade as an Occupational Therapist on a contract basis. This opportunity is designed for a dedicated professional looking to partner with an educational team committed to student growth near Sussex, VA. You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in a supportive school environment where your expertise will help shape students’ success and development.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Occupational Therapy License (required)
- Experience providing OT services in schools is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educational teams, families, and other specialists
- Commitment to creating individualized plans and implementing evidence-based interventions for students
- Familiarity with documentation, IEP processes, and school-based therapy practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ sensory, motor, and functional abilities to support participation in the classroom and school life
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help students meet educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other therapists to support students’ access to their curriculum
- Provide direct therapy, group sessions, and consultation as needed, adapting to diverse student needs across the K-12th grade spectrum
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for student progress and services provided
