Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid Virginia Occupational Therapist (OT) License is required
- Demonstrated experience or interest in working with school-aged children (K–12)
- Proficient in school-based OT practices, including evaluations, direct intervention, and collaboration with educational teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adaptability and a positive, problem-solving mindset
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and provide individualized OT services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Document session notes, progress reports, and other required records with accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
- Contribute to the development of functional goals, accommodations, and modifications
- Support inclusive practices within the school environment
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise to support students’ educational needs
