Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Illinois (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience working as an OT in a school, clinical, or pediatric setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with IEP process and school-based therapy documentation
- Ability to adapt to a diverse student population and handle evolving caseload needs
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continued professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to assess student abilities and develop appropriate plans of care
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students ranging from mild to moderate needs
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to facilitate student achievement
- Document session notes, progress reports, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Support classroom modifications, assistive technology, and sensory strategies that align with student goals
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where each student can thrive
