Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current OT licensure in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with school-aged children or in a school setting, preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Knowledgeable about IEP processes and documentation
- Creative problem-solving approach with a student-centered focus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of needs
- Implement occupational therapy interventions to support students’ participation and success in school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to ensure integrated support
- Maintain up-to-date and thorough documentation in accordance with school policies and guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide input, and advocate for students’ needs
- Offer professional guidance to staff and families regarding adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
