This position is structured for the 2026-2027 academic year, with responsibilities spread across two full days and one half day each week. You’ll dedicate the bulk of your time to providing direct therapy services, with a half day reserved for meetings and testing to ensure collaborative, comprehensive care.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in Delaware (DE)
- School-based OT experience preferred; clinical pediatric experience also valued
- Passion for working with elementary-age children (K-6th)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively partner with staff and families
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs within an educational environment
- Willingness to participate in team meetings, assessments, and the educational planning process
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to K-6th grade students
- Collaborate with teachers and other service providers to support student IEP goals
- Document therapy sessions and student progress using school-approved formats
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and related interdisciplinary sessions
- Adapt therapy plans as needed to suit dynamic classroom settings
