Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure or certification as an OT, COTA, or OTA in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desired
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to support students, teachers, and families
- Ability to create and implement effective treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Passion for working with children and adolescents with diverse abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and school needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to IEP goals, two days per week
- Conduct assessments and document progress, maintaining accurate student records
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families for comprehensive support
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Contribute to a positive educational environment by guiding classroom interventions and accommodations
- Promote student independence in academics, self-care, and life skills
