A rewarding opportunity awaits an enthusiastic occupational therapist ready to make a difference in students’ lives for the 26/27 school year. This full-time, contract position (40 hours per week) begins August 3rd, 2027, supporting learners in either a preschool setting or a K–8 developmental program. With a caseload of approximately 60 students and support from a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you’ll play a crucial role fostering growth, independence, and participation for students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students based on IEP goals and developmental needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams—including teachers, specialists, and parents—to support student achievement.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and comply with all local and state regulations.
- Supervise and provide guidance to a COTA, ensuring best practices in therapy delivery.
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and team planning sessions.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and monitor student progress.
- Advocate for inclusive, accessible learning environments.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current, valid occupational therapist license.
- Active Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
- Experience working in schools, ideally with preschool and/or K–8 developmental programs.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate, engage, and inspire students.
- Prior experience supervising COTAs is a plus.
