Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience providing OT services in schools strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability to varied caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ strengths and areas for growth
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students’ educational goals
- Deliver direct OT interventions focused on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Train and consult with educators and family members to support student achievements across settings
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that empowers each child's independence
