Occupational Therapist School Setting in Malaga, WA
Step into a rewarding role supporting early learners as a contract Occupational Therapist in the vibrant Malaga, WA area. This full-time position begins as soon as possible, spanning the summer and extending into the 2026-2027 school year, providing you with long-term stability and the chance to truly make an impact.
You’ll work primarily with children ages birth to three in an Early Intervention model, playing a crucial role in building important foundational skills. The caseload includes traveling across school sites, offering both variety and the opportunity to collaborate within multiple teams. There is also the possibility for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to be considered for this opportunity, and the school is open to structuring the caseload for two part-time OTs as well, encouraging flexibility.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Active licensure as an OT or COTA (Washington state)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings; early intervention experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of child development and early intervention practices
- Flexibility to travel between sites within the district
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Comfortable with both teletherapy and in-person services
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to children birth to three years old
- Travel between school sites to deliver direct and consultative services
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to achieve student outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
