You’ll work within a district charter school, providing direct occupational therapy services to a small caseload—three students—who are eager to benefit from your expertise and attention. Your intervention is particularly important, as these students have not had access to OT services since March, creating an urgent need for your specialized support.
What We’re Looking For:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state
- Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy
- Strong understanding of IEP goals and documentation
- Ability to assess, create, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Effective communicator with school staff and families
- Compassion for students with diverse abilities
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services tailored to student needs
- Evaluate and document student progress, updating plans as necessary
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Document attendance and session outcomes in line with district guidelines
- Offer sensory, motor, and adaptive skill interventions as appropriate
- Advocate for and support student independence and participation in the classroom
