In Lorain, you’ll work with approximately 18 students in grades K–8, while the Parma caseload includes about 24 students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Both settings offer the chance to collaborate closely with dedicated educational teams and engaged families.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Ohio
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
- Comfort managing diverse caseloads across a range of ages and abilities
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents
- Commitment to empowering students and promoting independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans for students
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions, both individually and in group settings
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
- Consult with educators and staff on strategies for student success in the classroom
- Travel between Lorain and Parma locations as required
