Occupational Therapist Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist will provide occupational therapy services to students and collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and other related service providers to support student development and educational success.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing occupational therapy services to students
- Supporting students with fine motor, sensory, functional, and developmental needs
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy goals and interventions
- Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, families, and related service providers
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and student records
- Supporting students in accessing and participating in their educational environment
Occupational Therapist Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited program
- Experience working with children or in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, educators, families, and school staff
