Provide essential support to a school age population, ranging from kindergarten to age 22, within a dedicated Low Incidence Program specializing in autistic support, life skills, and multiple disabilities. This position is based at a specialized education center and offers a full-time schedule—Monday through Friday.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license.
- Strong background working with students in school settings, especially those in Low Incidence Programs (autistic support, life skills, multiple disabilities).
- Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, especially regarding paperwork and required documentation.
- Flexibility and collaborative spirit for working alongside other dedicated education professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive, goal-oriented treatment.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and complete all required paperwork.
- Adapt therapy activities to foster independence and functional skill development for each student.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to ongoing program development.
