This contract position is located near West Chester, PA, and serves a diverse school-age caseload from kindergarten through age 22 within the Low Incidence Program, focused on students who need autistic support, life skills training, and care for multiple disabilities. The role is based at the Marple Education Center in Broomall, providing services five days per week during school hours.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Pennsylvania
- Prior experience in a school-based setting, specifically working within autistic support, life skills, or with students with multiple disabilities
- Strong organizational abilities and time-management skills
- Demonstrated excellence in maintaining documentation and handling paperwork efficiently
- Effective communicator, comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary educational team
- Compassionate, patient, and skilled at individualized assessment and intervention planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services tailored to the varied and specific needs of students (K–age 22) in the Low Incidence Program
- Manage a consistent schedule across five days per week, traveling as needed between classrooms and therapy spaces
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in accordance with both district and state regulations
- Engage in ongoing communication with educators and families to maximize student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing evidence-based recommendations for interventions and supports
