This assignment is based at a dedicated education center, focusing on programs such as autistic support, life skills, and multiple disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania
- Experience delivering OT services in school settings required
- Background supporting students with autism, multiple disabilities, and complex needs strongly preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills for managing caseloads and timely documentation
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Proficient in adapting interventions to diverse learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy sessions for students with varying abilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support educational and developmental goals
- Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust plans based on student progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state and program guidelines
- Empower students to develop fine motor, sensory integration, self-care, and functional skills necessary for success in school environments
- Consult regularly with educators and caregivers regarding strategies and progress
