Occupational Therapist School Setting in Nahant, MA

This contract position begins with an ESY assignment from July 8th to August 9th, focused on Wednesday mornings. There is also a strong possibility of transitioning to a broader role for the full 2024-25 school year, potentially providing OT services up to three days per week. Additional program and caseload details will be provided as they are finalized.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
- Active Massachusetts licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous school-based OT experience or familiarity with educational settings strongly preferred
- Ability to create and implement strategies and individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with special education staff and families
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to documenting services in compliance with school policies
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to students as outlined in their IEPs during ESY – primarily on Wednesday mornings
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop targeted intervention plans
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and provide ongoing feedback to the educational team
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights regarding student needs
- Maintain documentation and complete required reports in a timely, confidential manner
