School Occupational Therapist | Nahant, Massachusetts

This role specifically serves the Extended School Year (ESY) program, running from July 8th to August 9th, with a focus on Wednesday mornings. As an Occupational Therapist with school-based expertise, you’ll work closely with students, educators, and support staff to help learners reach their fullest potential.
In addition to the ESY assignment, there is a possibility for extended placement during the upcoming academic year (2024/25), with the need for OT services up to three days per week. More details regarding this potential extension will soon be available, offering continued opportunities to make a lasting impact.
What we’re looking for:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts
- Experience delivering OT services in school environments
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt interventions to support diverse student needs and learning styles
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Role responsibilities:
- Assess students’ OT needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services per student IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, and parents to maximize student success
- Monitor student progress, update documentation, and participate in team meetings
- Support classroom participation, fine motor development, sensory processing, and overall student independence
