Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid OT licensure for the state of Illinois.
- Experience providing OT services within a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and adaptable to changing caseloads.
- Familiarity with IEP process and documentation requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine motor, sensory-processing, and functional needs in the school environment.
- Work collaboratively with educators and other related service providers to support student participation in academic and daily activities.
- Assess student needs, set goals, and track progress toward developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with federal, state, and district requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional insight and recommendations for accommodations or modifications.
- Communicate effectively with families to ensure seamless service delivery.
