Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Ability to adapt planning to diverse student needs and varying caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify strengths and areas of need related to fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and access to educational materials
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans that support students’ educational success
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create accessible learning environments
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, assessments, and treatment sessions per school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development activities
- Support a positive, inclusive environment that prioritizes student well-being
