What we’re looking for:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Delaware (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school-based OT strongly preferred
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and technology
- Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs in compliance with IDEA regulations
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Creative problem-solving and patience when working with children of varying abilities
Key responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ functional abilities within the school environment
- Develop individualized treatment plans and set measurable OT goals
- Deliver direct therapy via in-person and teletherapy sessions as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Provide training and resources to staff for integration of OT strategies in classrooms
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation according to state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
