In this assignment, you'll provide 60 direct therapy sessions alongside 50 consultative services, ensuring a well-rounded approach to student development. You’ll help students access their education, improve functional skills, and empower students, staff, and families through effective collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience delivering occupational therapy services in a school setting preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students with varying needs, adapting techniques to individual goals
- Conduct assessments and develop measurable therapy plans in accordance with student IEPs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain meticulous records and collect data to track student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights and recommendations for student supports
