Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license for the state is required
- Previous school-based OT experience is highly valued
- Knowledge of educational best practices and individualized education plans
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Any additional district or state requirements (such as Professional Educator License or Para Certification) must be met
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in elementary and high school settings
- Develop, implement, and track individualized treatment plans in collaboration with faculty and families
- Assess students’ functional abilities and recommend appropriate accommodations or modifications
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews
- Support students’ fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skill development
