School Occupational Therapist - Plainfield, Illinois

As an Occupational Therapist, you will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, developing individualized treatment plans and interventions that foster skill development, self-regulation, and participation in school routines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and active Illinois OTR license required
- Experience working with school-aged populations, preferably across elementary and high school settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and best practices for school-based occupational therapy delivery
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Knowledge of district or state-specific requirements as applicable
What You'll Do:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students to enhance their academic participation and daily living skills
- Assess, develop, and implement IEP goals tailored for each student’s unique needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff for effective strategies and accommodations
- Document progress and maintain thorough, compliant records
- Support students’ transition between elementary and high school with targeted interventions
