Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Accredited Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active OT license in Rhode Island (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with students, families, and staff
- Adaptable, organized, and proactive approach to daily responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students
- Deliver direct interventions to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to ensure consistent support and progress for each student
- Assist with the evaluation and recommendation of adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary conferences, and in-service training sessions
