Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Hold a valid Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate.
- Possess current WA Occupational Therapy License.
- Must have completed fingerprinting through OSPI.
- Experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educators, students, and families.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work with a variety of grade levels as assigned.
- Dedication to fostering inclusion and positive student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to shape effective support plans.
- Create and implement IEP goals and maintain thorough records.
- Support students’ participation in the classroom and assist in developing fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills.
- Adapt strategies to fit diverse learning needs and environments across various grade bands.
