Make a difference in the lives of students as an Occupational Therapist supporting both elementary and middle school-aged children onsite. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to positively impact one school, managing a caseload of around 41 students during the full 26/27 school year, running from September through June.
Bring your expertise in school-based occupational therapy and help students enhance their participation, performance, and independence in the classroom setting.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Washington
- Previous experience as a school-based Occupational Therapist or similar setting preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaborative work with educators, families, and other support staff
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to diverse student needs across elementary and middle school levels
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and coordinate with a single campus
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine/gross motor, self-help, sensory, and functional skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and school requirements
- Monitor student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and participate in IEP meetings
- Deliver services onsite for 37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday, during the academic year
