Qualifications & Experience
- Valid certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience in educational or school settings strongly preferred
- Solid background in fine motor skills development and interventions
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Prior experience covering leaves or working within contract positions is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality OT services to students, both in-person and via teletherapy as needed
- Assess students’ needs, develop individualized intervention plans, and track progress
- Work closely with educators and support staff to implement strategies that enhance participation and performance
- Foster fine motor skill development through targeted activities and hands-on interventions
- Maintain detailed documentation of services provided, progress notes, and compliance with school district requirements
- Serve as a reliable resource and advocate for students’ occupational needs during the duration of the assignment
