Qualifications & Skills:
- Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Illinois
- Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or sensory integration settings
- Familiarity working with school-aged children using individualized goals and progress note documentation
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with general education teams and resource staff
- Passion for fostering student independence and participation in school routines
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within both resource and general education classrooms
- Document progress and communicate outcomes with educators, parents, and school teams
- Utilize sensory integration strategies and therapeutic techniques to help students access curriculum and participate fully in their school day
- Travel between two school sites to support students across grade levels
