Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting K-12 students with diverse needs. This contract position offers full-time hours—36.25 each week—within an engaging educational environment. You’ll work 7.25-hour days, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM. The program serves a wide range of students, including those with Autism, cognitive and emotional impairments, learning disabilities, and other health-related challenges.
Responsibilities will include providing direct therapy, conducting assessments, developing individualized intervention plans, and collaborating with teachers, families, and fellow support staff. You’ll play a key role in fostering student independence and access to the educational environment for the duration of the assignment, which runs from ASAP through December 2026.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license, or ability to obtain one prior to start
- Previous experience in school-based settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Demonstrated skill in supporting students with Autism, cognitive, emotional, and learning challenges
- Excellent communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to diverse student and school needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and consultation services to students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Evaluate progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in student IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Educate staff and families regarding student needs and strategies
