Exciting opportunities await for skilled Occupational Therapists seeking contract roles supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Seattle, WA. We are hiring two passionate OTs with strong school-based backgrounds to provide support on two different assignments: one leave coverage through October 2026 and another longer-term need through December 2026, with potential for further extension. Both positions offer a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
Bring your expertise to help students thrive academically and socially by managing caseloads, conducting assessments, and working closely with a supportive education team. In these roles, you'll engage in meaningful work that directly impacts student growth and success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and current Washington OT licensure and OSPI certification
- Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist in school settings
- Confidence in writing IEP goals and participation in IEP meetings
- Thorough understanding of special education evaluation, compliance, and documentation
- Effective collaboration skills with educators, support staff, and families
- Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and scheduling
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ needs and deliver individualized OT services
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP-based goals and therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy and consultation in general and special education classrooms
- Adapt activities, equipment, and curriculum materials to support student access
- Document services, progress, and maintain detailed evaluation records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to inform student interventions
- Attend staff meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities
