Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Maryland (or eligible for licensure)
- Experience working in a schools setting, ideally with the K-12 population
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs collaboratively
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapy methods and adaptive equipment
- Commitment to fostering student independence and academic success
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' functional abilities within the school environment
- Design and deliver individualized and group occupational therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to integrate OT strategies into classroom activities
- Develop, update, and document progress reports and IEP goals
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and assistive technology
- Offer training and support to school staff on accommodations and interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning
