Elementary Middle School Occupational Therapist School Setting in Sparks, NV

Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) in the state of Nevada
- Experience working with students in school settings is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to developmental stages from early elementary through high school
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Passion for helping young people reach their potential, regardless of challenges
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine individual student needs and strengths
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services based on student goals
- Monitor and report progress, maintaining thorough records
- Provide guidance to staff and families regarding suitable accommodations and strategies
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive atmosphere where all students are encouraged to succeed
