Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist license for the state of North Carolina
- Previous experience working in school settings as an OTR preferred
- Strong knowledge of pediatric OT practices and applications in academic environments
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple schools if needed
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation and IEP processes
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students to determine needs for occupational therapy intervention
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote participation in school activities
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined by IEPs
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with school teams and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals
- Flexibility to provide support at more than one school site, as required
