Occupational Therapist School Setting in Staten Island, NY

Schedules typically fall between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm, providing flexibility from one assignment to the next.
Qualifications:
- Current OT licensure in New York, with strong knowledge of school-based and home health therapy best practices
- Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in educational settings
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing caseloads and environments
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with staff, parents, and students
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to an average of 10-12 students per day
- Collaborate with teachers and school teams to support students’ IEP goals
- Travel between school buildings as required, adapting to evolving student needs
- Document evaluations, progress reports, and daily treatment notes in compliance with regulatory standards
- Engage with families, offering guidance and support to maximize outcomes for each child
