Occupational Therapist School Setting in Sterling Heights, MI

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Active OT license for Michigan (OT MI credential required)
- Experience providing occupational therapy in school settings; K-5 or elementary experience is a plus
- Comfort with creative interventions in both direct and teletherapy formats
- Ability to tailor approaches for diverse learners and collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans targeting motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Deliver small group, one-on-one, and classroom-based occupational therapy sessions in-school and via teletherapy as needed
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with educational staff and guardians
- Collaborate on IEP teams and provide expertise in accommodations, equipment needs, and strategies for student success
- Maintain compliance with school policy, state regulations, and best practices in pediatric OT
