Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state.
- Background in school-based OT services, addressing the unique needs of K-12 students.
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
- Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and organization.
- Experience assessing and providing interventions for a variety of developmental, sensory, and physical challenges.
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of students’ functional abilities within the school environment.
- Develop personalized intervention plans and implement evidence-based strategies to help students achieve their IEP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and progress updates.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress.
- Offer consultation and training to staff as needed.
