Key Qualifications:
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapy license (please provide a screenshot of licensure with application)
- School-based occupational therapy experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Ability to work on-site throughout the assignment (remote or hybrid not available)
- Experience supporting diverse student populations is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, assessing needs and delivering tailored interventions in compliance with IEP/504 plans
- Collaborate with special education teachers, administrators, and other related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings, documenting progress and developing goals designed to foster independence and student success
- Consult with families and school staff to support student access and participation within the school setting
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all state and federal mandates for school-based OT services
- Contribute to a positive, professional culture that prioritizes student well-being
