Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Texas OT license (OTs and COTAs)
- Minimum of several years’ experience in schools or pediatric settings for COTAs
- Expertise in conducting evaluations and participating in ARD meetings
- Strong documentation skills, with proficiency in using school health software (SHARES, Onward) and Excel for IEP logging
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently—about 70 students overall, with 30–40 receiving direct services through a rotating schedule
- Motivated self-starter comfortable leading in an environment with no COTAs for support
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services through both direct intervention and consultation
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and necessary documentation for a variety of needs
- Attend ARD meetings and collaborate with educational professionals
- Maintain meticulous records in line with IEP requirements and district protocols
- Provide treatment-focused OT services across multiple sites
- Ensure compliance with all credentialing requirements, including district fingerprints
