Key Qualifications:
- Current AK Occupational Therapist license required
- TYPE C Certification required
- Preference for candidates with Alaska state teaching certification
- School-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Ability to provide approximately 1000 minutes of direct student therapy per week
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Passion for fostering student achievement and independence
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, in-person Occupational Therapy interventions to students based on individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Design and implement activities to enhance daily living, fine motor, sensory processing, and classroom participation skills
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ functional educational needs
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, goals, progress, and compliance in line with school and state standards
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise for planning student services
- Adapt and modify materials or environments to optimize student engagement and learning
