Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students from preschool through 8th grade for the upcoming 26/27 school year! This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a passion for fostering student growth in a supportive school setting. With a workload model in place, you’ll provide 15 to 20 hours of direct treatment from your 37.5-hour workweek, allowing time for meaningful interventions and collaboration. Caseloads typically range from 40 to 60 students, including both direct service and consult-only cases, and you’ll also contribute by supervising 1 to 2 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license for Arizona
- Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Previous experience in school-based OT preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to supervise and mentor COTAs effectively
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a diverse student population in preschool through 8th grade
- Conduct direct treatment sessions, consult with teachers and staff, and support inclusive learning environments
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Supervise and provide guidance to 1 to 2 COTAs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to support student success
