Occupational Therapist School Setting in Troutville, VA
Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year! This full-time contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment where you’ll contribute directly to student success alongside a collaborative team. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week in an itinerant position with paid travel time between school sites (excluding mileage).
In this role, your expertise will be valued as you:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and student evaluations.
- Write, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Deliver direct therapy services to elementary students.
- Attend and represent at meetings, sharing insights and advocating for student needs.
- Supervise an SLPA, building a supportive partnership to balance the workload.
- Receive compensation for all hours worked within your contracted schedule, including participation in required team meetings and indirect service time.
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP license.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred.
- Knowledge of OT and collaborative practices in school settings a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and collaborating with educational teams.
