This contract position supports a diverse group of students ranging from preschool to middle school ages, providing impactful and meaningful services in a collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Occupational Therapy license
- Arizona Speech and Language Pathology certificate (required)
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but dedicated new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
- Enthusiasm for working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ fine motor, functional, and sensory needs to develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services within the classroom and therapy rooms
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes for compliance and reporting requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to foster student success and academic achievement
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing clinical insights and recommendations
- Engage in screenings and ongoing evaluations to support students’ growth and well-being
