In this dynamic role, you'll help foster independence and growth for a varied caseload of 50-55 elementary and secondary students across 1-2 district locations. Full-time hours (37.5 per week) allow you to make a meaningful impact while experiencing the collaborative spirit of school-based practice.
What you'll bring:
- Active Nevada OT license
- Experience working in school settings, with a focus on both therapy and assessments/evaluations
- Familiarity with IEP processes (training provided on the district’s system)
- Strong collaboration skills for teaming with educators, family members, and other therapists
- Dedication to working with a diverse student community
- Flexibility to travel between assigned schools as needed
- Open to itinerant roles within the district (district-wide support may be required)
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver traditional OT services including direct therapy, assessments, and evaluations
- Maintain compliance with all special education requirements
- Document progress and contribute to comprehensive IEP development
- Consult with staff and families to support students’ individual needs
- Participate in paid team meetings and enjoy dedicated admin time
- Ensure a supportive, goal-oriented therapy environment
