Make a real difference in students’ lives supporting two elementary schools near Waterford, WI, as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic years. With a manageable caseload of 62 cross-categorical students and opportunities to collaborate with a certified occupational therapy assistant (OTA), you’ll enjoy meaningful work in a supportive educational environment. The assignment is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 to 3:30, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You’ll also get the chance to supervise the OTA at an additional elementary school, ensuring variety and collaboration throughout your week. This assignment runs through June 2027, providing stability and the opportunity to watch your students progress and grow.
Qualifications:
- Current Wisconsin Occupational Therapy license
- Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) OT certification
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff
- Supervisory or mentorship experience with OTAs is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with IEPs for elementary school students
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation
- Develop and implement interventions to address fine motor, sensory, and accessibility needs
- Travel between two schools (all within a short distance) as part of your weekly routine
- Supervise and collaborate with a dedicated OTA to serve students efficiently
- Communicate progress and recommendations with teachers and guardians
