Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting a district-wide occupational therapy program serving K-12 learners across four buildings. This contract position offers full-time hours throughout the academic year, running from late August through mid-June. As a valued professional, you'll play a key role in helping students achieve greater independence and success at school.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Vermont OT Certificate required
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services within school settings
- Familiarity with the needs of K-12 students across a range of abilities
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to manage a caseload spanning multiple buildings while maintaining organization and follow-through
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings, as determined by IEPs and referrals
- Complete evaluations, develop goal-driven intervention plans, and document progress in accordance with district policies
- Collaborate actively with special education teams, general educators, and families to support student participation and performance
- Support classroom staff in adapting activities and environments for students with unique needs
- Travel between four district buildings, supporting a diverse set of learners at various grade levels throughout the week
