Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Virginia OT license or eligibility
- NBCOT certification
- Previous experience in schools is valued, though not required
- Excellent ability to communicate and work within a team-oriented environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy according to each student’s IEP
- Complete evaluations and assess students’ needs to set measurable goals
- Customize and implement treatment plans for occupational growth
- Partner closely with teachers, special education professionals, and families
- Keep thorough documentation in line with district and state regulations
- Participate actively in IEP meetings to enhance student support plans
- Assist students in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and practical independence
Schedule Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Follows the academic calendar, including school holidays and breaks
