Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current California OT license required
- Previous experience working as a school-based Occupational Therapist preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education services
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs across various grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional needs within the school environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student on your caseload
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with each student’s goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other school staff to support student participation and progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, reports, and communication logs
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and professional development as needed
