Skilled Nursing Facility Occupational Therapist | Renton, Washington
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting students across two dynamic school settings near Renton, WA. In this role, you'll collaborate with educators and families to help students reach their full potential, providing therapeutic services tailored to each individual's needs. With an approximate caseload of 41 students, you’ll split your week between two supportive schools—spending three days at Rainier Middle School and two days at Lea Hill Elementary. This assignment runs from September 9 through the end of the school year, with a half-day training scheduled the preceding week to ensure a smooth start.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in Washington state
- Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas: school-based OT, pediatric therapy, home health OT, or broader healthcare settings
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities with multidisciplinary teams
- Skills in documentation, evaluation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
- Commitment to in-person service; virtual therapists not considered for this assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 41 students
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Deliver therapy sessions both one-on-one and in small groups as needed
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain clear, timely documentation as required by school standards
