You'll play an essential part in fostering student independence and participation in daily activities, collaborating closely with educational teams to ensure every learner receives top-notch occupational therapy support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Florida COTA license
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple school sites
- Must be willing and able to travel to various locations throughout the county; flexibility required
- Adaptability to provide services to students with varying needs across elementary, middle, and high school levels
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K–12 students across assigned schools
- Assess students' needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Attend relevant meetings and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes
- Provide in-service training to school staff as needed
