Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school setting near Anacortes, WA. As a COTA in a school environment, you’ll work with a diverse range of students with mild to moderate disabilities, supporting their growth and helping create inclusive and accessible learning experiences. The number of schools and specific caseload details will be shared during the interview process.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active Washington State license and Department of Education (DOE) license required
- Recent fingerprints completed for both WA State and DOE
- Experience as a COTA, preferably with school-aged children
- Ability to collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and support staff
- Flexibility and adaptability working with varying caseloads and school environments
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Your Role Includes:
- Delivering direct and consultative occupational therapy services under OT supervision
- Supporting students’ daily function, motor skills, and independence in the school environment
- Maintaining accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings and working with educational teams to develop and achieve student goals
- Traveling between assigned school sites as needed
